Cheesy Sausage and Cabbage Skillet

An easy, one skillet meal made with cabbage and sausages. A surprise dairy free ingredient gives it cheesy flavor!

Ingredients


  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Small Head Cabbage Sliced (about 8 cups)
  • ¼ Cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 4 Sausages I use the ones pictured below
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions


  1. Preheat an iron skillet and melt butter. (You can use any skillet, but I love my iron skillet.)
  2. Slice cabbage into thin strips and add to the hot butter.
  3. Slice sausages and add to the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle nutritional yeast over the sausage and cabbage.
  5. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until cabbage begins to wilt and sausages are heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.


Notes

You can make this recipe dairy free by replacing the butter with coconut oil.
